Nfield Code 1.0

Last week we released Nfield Code 1.0, our new coding module. Nfield Code offers a multitude in features that makes the coding process straightforward and efficient, with the focus on ease of use and fast data delivery.

Below you will find a short overview of the most important Nfield Code features:
  • Code open-ended text answers, voice-recorded answers and bitmap answers (answers written on pen tops)
  • Start your coding job long before the fieldwork period is finished, while adding additional open-ended answers as fieldwork progresses, thereby decreasing your delivery time
  • Create Code Frames and reuse Code Frames for more than one question
  • Modify Code Frames on the fly while coding, or pre-define Code Frames for other coders to work with
  • Work with translations - translate question variables, code labels and open-ended answers for easier coding
  • Use automatic coding to speed up the coding process, having the application either suggest the coding for open-ended answers or code entire sets of answers automatically
  • Track changes made by other coders for reasons of quality control
  • Work with teams - split a coding project among independently working coders to speed up the coding process

Over the past years we have been frequently asked by our customers to create a successor of the previous NIPO Coding Module. Nfield Code is designed in close co-operation with a selection of our customers. We would like to thank these customers for their valuable input. We are convinced that your organization will strongly benefit from Nfield Code. Future releases of Nfield Code are scheduled. We look forward to hear your feedback.

    Nvision Script functionalities

In order to keep you updated about our new product Nvision Script, we would like to inform you about two new functionalities in this edition of our newsletter.

    Extended styling
One of the added functionalities within Nvision Script is an extended styling option. With styling, users can easily alter data output into clear customized tables and charts.

Styling directives can be saved as templates and be referred to in scripted jobs. When referred to, the job output will immediately be formatted according to the styling directives. This means that no intermediate steps are needed anymore to transform data into charts that the customer wants to use in a report.

    Direct export
With a push on a button these styled tables and charts can be directly exported to third party programs as Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, PDF and CSV. By offering those functionalities we think we are better able to serve the customer needs within Market Research to enclose the total scope of data delivery; from the receiving of the raw data to the delivery of the final report.

Nvision Script will be released mid 2009, for more information about Nvision Script, contact our Sales team.

    Update NIPO Fieldwork System

NIPO Software is pleased to announce an update of the NIPO Fieldwork System 1.10 (NFS) at the end of April, and a new release (version 1.11) in the last quarter of 2009. As many of you know, we are working hard on Nfield, the successor of NFS. Nfield will be a fully scalable and resilient system completely utilizing the Microsoft .Net platform, and it will fully integrate CATI, CAPI and CAWI.

As a result of our close and continuous dialogue with a lot of our customers, we know that many of you are looking forward to Nfield. But you also indicate that another release of NFS, in which new functionality would be added, is at this moment of higher importance. NIPO Software handles accordingly.

In the last quarter of 2009, all our CATI and CAWI customers will receive the NFS 1.11 release in which new functionality is added in the FMS and the Manager. More details on this future NFS release will be announced later this year.

TNS Belgium has won CIM project

NIPO Software adds value to professional market research organizations. Our customers invite us sometimes to think along with them in e.g. important tender processes. And often there is success for these customers. We would like to share these success stories with you. In this newsletter the success story of TNS Belgium. We kindly invite you to inform us about your success story for a next edition of our Newsletter.

TNS Belgium (also known as TNS Dimarso) has just won a contract renewal for the prestigious CIM project for the coming three years including yearly possible extension. TNS Belgium already conducts this project for over ten years. On a yearly basis 10,500 CAPI interviews all over Belgium will give data about the reach of newspapers and magazines in Belgium.

For this public tender, TNS Belgium was in serious competition with other research institutes. As TNS Belgium was determined to win the tender, NIPO Software was invited to think along with the tender process.

Jeroen Noordman, Managing Director of NIPO Software says: "NIPO Software was invited by our long term customer TNS Dimarso to contribute in the tender process for the CIM project. We were presented with questions on the appropriateness of online versus offline interviewing, process management as the questionnaire changes on a daily basis, scripting options and hardware suitability. For over one month we closely worked together with the CIM project team, resulting in a presentation of the TNS Belgium team to the CIM board".

Luc Schulpen, Managing Director of TNS Dimarso comments: "During the presentation to the CIM board, it became clear that TNS Dimarso addressed all of the CIM board’ requirements very well. Our team was also equipped to show all the wishes that were addressed in the tender briefings, like the preferred usage of Touch Screen laptops, during a live demonstration. I would like to congratulate our team with the winning of this important contract and I would like to thank NIPO Software for their valuable contribution".

Jeroen adds: "NIPO Software prefers to work closely together with our customers and help them being more successful. The winning of the CIM contract by TNS Belgium is a perfect example on how NIPO Software adds value to our customers".
