Hosting services for Switch Mode projects

The NIPO Software hosting facilities for on-line questionnaires are well known with our clients. They can opt to script their own questionnaire in NIPO ODIN or subcontract this to our programmers. After that, NIPO Software will design the questionnaire in the desired look & feel and send out the invitations to the respondents. The customer can monitor his project online and view real-time response- and quota overviews and online reporting. NIPO Web Hosting offers all the benefits of online research, without investing in expensive infrastructure.

The NIPO Fieldwork System for CATI/Web Interviewing offers the unique feature of Switch Mode Interviewing (starting the interview in CATI and offer the respondent to switch to CAWI environment at any time). Looking at the results from our customers that run Switch Mode surveys, we can only conclude that this is a very powerful instrument that increases response, lowers fieldwork costs and offers optimal flexibility, both for researchers and respondents. Large projects have been won based on the merits of this solution.

In order to make our customers familiar with running Switch Mode surveys, we now plan to extend our hosting services to this type of surveys.

Hosting a Switch Mode survey with us would work like this:

The Survey would run in the NIPO call centre.

For the CATI fieldwork you can use your own interviewers calling in your own call facilities, while they are connected to our call centre (using the concept of remote interviewer clients).

Your interviewers do the CATI part and when the switch to CAWI needs to be made, we sent out the on-line questionnaire to the e-mail address inserted by your interviewers.

The combined data can be monitored on-line.

Although we are currently busy setting up this service, please let us know if this option is attractive for your company. In 1 or 2 months we expect to be fully up-and-running with the hosting of Switch Mode surveys.

We get a lot of requests for information about the configuration of NIPO ODIN Interview System for use with an installed telephony device. For this reason we have created an FAQ describing what TAPI is, does and how it can be set up for telephony devices.

New Useful Tool on the NIPO Software website

On the Customers section of the NIPO Software website we have placed some Useful Tools. NIPO Software clients can download the tools free of charges (again a login username and password is needed to access this website section).

A new tool has been added to the section:

Xls2Fix - This Excel sheet exports Excel data to fixed ASCII. Very useful e.g. to create a T-file on the basis of Excel. The Excel columns can be exported to specific positions in the ASCII file using a NIPO DIANA VAR file. The download includes an example.

Other tools that are available:

Bfile2wav - This is a tool that creates .wav files from the NIPO Software B-files.

Var2SSS - An application that will create triple-s files based on the NIPO DIANA files.

KL_open - Client friendly export of open answers.

ReadSurvey - Read in of a Survey in Excel.

Datinf - Generates a lot of information about data files.

Scheduler - automatic running of applications on set times.

Cross4we.job - Creates on the basis of a VAR file a standard cross-job.

ProjectQ - Questionnaire manager with graphical interface.

Send_it - Sending out of (bulk) emails.
